The company has a vast inventory of system solutions and parts which were previously catalogued in a very ineffective manner that made it difficult for customers to find the right product for their needs. JBM wanted a new more modern look to their site which was reflective of the quality of the products they offered and the backup support services that JBM had to offer. Equally important to the business owners was to have a system that made the purchase decision for their network of distributors and direct customers easier, more friendly and one that gave them the ability to quickly request a quote or to simply purchase online what they needed. The company had always distributed a newsletter in hard-copy that was mailed out to their customer base but this was very soon out of date and of course could not cover the full range of telephone systems and equipment available. A key aspect of the new web solution was the ability to readily generate newsletters and promotional material to selected segments of their customer base electronically and to use this as a vehicle for refining their marketing strategy. JBM already have realised very positive results from their Google Adword campaigns but realised that they were losing out on conversion opportunities through their poorly designed web site. They wanted to make sure the site was appealing, easy to locate information and products and that the content was regularly updated with the latest information available. To this extent it was imperative to JBM that they have the ability to maintain the content themselves, particularly with price updates, special offers and the release of technical information on new products as they are released. It did however have to be simple. After experiences with several other web developers, JBM decided they wanted to have someone who took time to understand the real business and its objectives and how the new web site could best serve those objectives. |
